I love it when parents come to me with ideas for their sessions. I typically do try to incorporate as many as I can, that fit within the style of my portraiture. With this particular session, mom sent me an idea she had seen on the ever popular Pinterest! She even came with the props necessary for such an image. I wasn't too sure how this image would work, but we tried. And PLEASE remember...this was mom's idea. It was not my idea to torture this poor little girl...we think she didn't like the grass! And, I should probably also point out that had my client been anyone other than my OWN sister...I probably would have not tried such an image. But, knowing that I had other opportunities to re-try her shoot after we made her SO mad allowed me to have a little room for trial and error!
As you can see...it was an EPIC FAIL!! And boy was she mad. We had to take a significant break and try again later in the day. She was not happy with me at all...even though it was her momma's idea. How unfair!
She slowly warmed up the second time, with some help from mom.
Love watching her little personality develop!
Things were going very well...until she got a kiss from our dog, Max! So, we took another break and came back for round 3 later in the evening!
This was another Pinterest idea from mom. I do think it turned out pretty cute!
Oh my goodness, we normally all think that she looks a lot like her daddy, but in this photo, she is a striking resemblance to her momma and our mom, her Nana!
Well, it took three different attempts and nearly all day, but I think we ended up with a successful session, though I will NOT be attempting anymore clothes line shots in the future! Thanks for being patient with me, Ms. Anna...you're a sweetie!
